The Space
Cozy and comfortable, this one bedroom has been updated cleanly and with a nod to its mid-century modern roots! Enter from the handsome deck outside looking off toward the mountains just a mile or two to the west. Inside, you’ll be greeted by the full kitchen, complete with dining for four, as well as a fully functional laundry. Open and bright, the space offers all the practical necessities a traveler could ask for. The living room, adjacent to the kitchen, features a on-school record player, plenty of large windows, and a comfortable pull-out sofa-couch ready for the kids or your favorite travel-mates. The single, master bedroom comes furnished with a gigantic, gratifying king-size bed, separate from the main living area and private if you need it to be. The bathroom is clean and modern, but also inviting and retro-chic, like an episode of your favorite sitcom from the 1950’s.
The Neighborhood
Known as the “Old Broadmoor,” this area of Southwest Colorado Springs features old, established homes built before the world-renowned 5-star hotel better known by the “Broadmoor” name. The hotel itself is located just up the road from this property, along with great access to the mountains, parks, hiking trails, the Zoo, as well as some of the best dining and craft-spirits the city offers. Located just a few blocks away from the renovated Ivywild School, which includes a Colorado craft whisky distillery, brewery, cafe and event venue in its walls, guests will have a multitude of entertainment choices at their disposal. Some other, exceptional and notable restaurants and bars nearby include the Blue Star, Prime 25, Edelweiss, the Burrowing Owl and the Sushi Ring. This unit is also located just across the street from a Safeway grocery store, as well as some additional modern shopping staples including Sears, Gordman’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and the Home Depot.
Transportation
Although there are many, many restaurants, bars, cafes and parks accessible by foot from this property, we still recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in Colorado Springs. Also, we can provide you with specific bus routes to help you get around.
