Possibly the perfect stay for a Colorado Springs traveler on a budget, this garden-level condo offers surprising, usable space with all the necessities, packaged in a completely renovated and modern design that will please even a discriminating aesthete 🙂 Enjoy a great outdoor space featuring comfortable seating and a gas grill for an impromptu BBQ. Conveniently located next door to a grocery store, you might end up walking over on a whim, inspired by the prospect of a steak or a portobello, grilled to perfection. And with its location on the west-side of the city and close to so many of the best attractions that make the Springs an enjoyable getaway, you’ll have plenty to explore, plenty of experiences to tempt and to titillate.

The Space

Although this space is “garden-level,” you’ll be surprised by how well-renovated, designed, handsome and useful the space is. Descend the entry stairs into the stylish, modern, and fully functional kitchen. The adjacent main living area is open and bright and features a comfortable couch with a pull-out double bed. All of the rooms off the main living area have been converted to private sleeping quarters. These include two small rooms, each with a small bed or futon. The main, master bedroom includes a voluminous (we like this word) king-size bed to spread out in complete comfort. The single bathroom in this unit has been upgraded to perfection, and includes quality furnishings and stone & travertine tile. You’ll relish a long, refreshing shower here (as you contemplate what a surprising value a stay in this place really is!).

The Neighborhood

Known as the “Old Broadmoor,” this area of Southwest Colorado Springs features old, established homes built before the world-renowned 5-star hotel better known by the “Broadmoor” name. The hotel itself is located just up the road from this property, along with great access to the mountains, parks, hiking trails, the Zoo, as well as some of the best dining and craft-spirits the city offers. Located just a few blocks away from the renovated Ivywild School, which includes a Colorado craft whisky distillery, brewery, cafe and event venue in its walls, guests will have a multitude of entertainment choices at their disposal. Some other, exceptional and notable restaurants and bars nearby include the Blue Star, Prime 25, Edelweiss, the Burrowing Owl and the Sushi Ring. This unit is also located just across the street from a Safeway grocery store, as well as some additional modern shopping staples including Sears, Gordman’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and the Home Depot.

Transportation

Although there are many, many restaurants, bars, cafes and parks accessible by foot from this property, we still recommend that you have a car or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in Colorado Springs. Also, we can provide you with specific bus routes to help you get around.
